This sermon was preached on Sunday, October 13, 2019, as part of the series, Revelation: A Vision of Christ.

Revelation 15-16 deal with the Seven Bowls of God’s wrath. Revelation 17-18 deal with the seventh bowl poured out against Babylon, the spiritual power of Empire, the kingdom of human sin.

God’s wrath burns against whatever is against us, His beloved children. That includes the systems of injustice and oppression that we have established over us, as much as it includes the sin patterns in our own hearts. God will pour out His wrath against everything that threatens to undo us, always in the hope that “none should perish” (2 Peter 3:9), but that all might repent and return to Him.
